Introducing The Luminor Marina 1950 3 Days Automatic Titanio Special Edition by Officine Panerai

Officine Panerai has always had a special place in the hearts of watch collectors and aficionados who appreciate high precision time instruments with a strong, distinctive, aesthetic and functional identity. Their size and consistent design make these watches real eye-catchers. Whenever you see a Panerai from further away and you can’t read the inscription, you immediately recognize the brand.

Officine Panerai pays tribute to the Middle East region with the launch of two new Luminor Marina timepieces, sold exclusively in the Panerai boutiques across the MEA region. The Replica Panerai Luminor Marina was the first great success in the history of the Panerai brand. In the 1990s, after decades of creations carried out for the Italian Navy, the Luminor with the small seconds dial at 9 o’clock was one of the models which contributed so much to making the Panerai brand known throughout the world, with its watches becoming an icon of contemporary high quality sports watchmaking.

The first of the two new Special Edition watches is the Luminor Marina 1950 3 Days Automatic Titanio (PAM00734), created in a limited edition of 100 units and featuring a sand dial, a colour reminiscent of the golden Arabian Desert. The second Special Edition (PAM00733) is produced in a limited edition of 50 units and features a dial of a brilliant and intense blue, a colour reminiscent of Panerai’s passion for the sea.

Both have numerals, hour batons, small seconds batons and hands in SuperLuminova for visibility in the dark. The dial has Panerai’s typical sandwich structure with a layer of SuperLuminova at the centre and the indications cut-out, a system that enhances night-time luminosity. The case is 44 mm in diameter, in titanium, with the patented crown protector that keeps the crown firmly in position and contributes to the 30 bar, 300 metre water resistance rating. It is finished with areas of bright metal – such as the bezel – contrasting with the overall brushed satin texture.

The back of the Luminor 1950 titanium case has a sapphire crystal porthole which enables the movement of the automatic P.9000 calibre – their in-house movement. The movement comes with a power reserve of three days and is wound by a bidirectional oscillating weight. And the case comes with a matching titanium bracelet with double curved surfaces and asymmetrical links. Also, the timepiece comes with a second strap option, coordinated with each of the dials – beige textile for the PAM00733 and blue alligator leather for PAM00734.
